Celebrate the Goodness of Fresh, Local Produce at the Southside Farmers Market
The City’s Southside Farmers Market Returns This Week for Seventh Season
August 26, 2025
Welcome back to the market! The Southside Farmers Market opens for business again on Thursday, Aug. 28, with dates scheduled through the end of 2025.
Launched in 2018, the market offers a variety of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. It is held on select Thursdays, weather permitting, from 2-6 p.m., outside the Walker-Ford Community Center at 2301 T-Pain Lane.
The theme for the first market is “Farmers Market Appreciation Market Day,” celebrating the value of the farmers market in the community. The Southside Farmers Market offers a direct channel for small farmers to sell their produce, and it gives residents access to fresh, nutritious food, not far from home.
Great food isn’t the only thing available at the market. Many local organizations participate to connect residents with resources. On August 28, attendees can pick up a free reusable grocery tote (while supplies last) and shop a selection of popular Tallahassee-branded merchandise, including shirts, caps, and more. The Tallahassee Police Department will serve free sno-cones to the kids, and there will be free health screenings, popcorn, giveaways and more.
To ensure fresh food options are available to as many residents as possible, SNAP benefits and EBT cards are accepted.
The remaining 2025 market days are as follows:
- September 4
- September 18
- October 9
- October 23
- November 6
- November 20
- December 4
- December 11
